Sunday Snapshot: Wise words from Wes Anderson

Among my collection of Southeast Asia keepsakes sits this quote that a dear friend gave to me on my birthday this past year. From the movie "Fantastic Mr. Fox," it is a pleasant reminder that the crazy mass of humanity in the world is worthwhile because of this diversity. In medical school, it can be hard to keep this in mind, as a torn ACL or a viral infection may be our primary perception of a patient. However, each person has a marvelously different backstory which gives them meaning beyond their medical diagnosis.
